Just saying hello!

The sun had 'got it's hat on' (as the song goes) so I was able to photograph this little card today. This is the one that took me so long at the weekend. I made it for my sister-in-law,
I hope it makes her smile!

Card Recipe:
Bazzills - Limeade
Scrapbook Paper - Daisy Bucket Little Black Dress/Black Tie Affair
Fiskars edge punch
Sentiments and butterfly - Hero Arts Clear stamps
Ribbon from my stash

Congratulations Lucy!

Just wanted to congratulate Lucy for winning a day on the Hero Arts Blog with Jennifer.
If you haven't already discovered Lucy's wonderful cards check out her blog right now!

I love everything Lucy does, but have a real soft spot for that cute card that she uses as her blog banner. Can't wait for her day on the blog to see more of her beautiful creations.

Don't you just love Bank Holidays!

Loving the fact that I can be super lazy as it is May Day today.

I finally finished my card yesterday. It didn't turn out how I wanted but I will post it asap. The weather is too dull to take a good picture today.
Instead here is a card I made about a fortnight ago to say thank you to a friend for her help and support while I was off from work with my broken wrist.
Once again, I have used the lovely template that Kristina Werner shared. I really do love her blog and drop by virtually every day.

Card Recipe:
Plain white cardstock from my stash.
Scrapbooking paper: Little Yellow Bicycle/ Love Letters - Lace Kiss
Sentiments and teeny tiny leaves are from Hero Arts
Woodware punch and Cuttlebug
Versacolour Ink: Olive

It's a good day!

No card to post yet as I am still working on it.
You know what it's like when it just will not come together!
Birmingham City Football Club are back in the Premiership, the sun is shining and my wonderful hubby is painting the spare bedroom as part of a makeover that is turning this room into a craft space for me!
Happy, happy, happy... now if I could just finish that card.

Body Shape update

...and I seem to be somewhere between an hourglass and a cello! Not sure how to take this really. Check out Trinny and Susannah's website to view the results of their online bodyshape survey. If you scroll to the bottom of the page you can find your bodyshape - if you dare!

Babies, babies, babies!

It's all babies at work at the moment!
My friend Mo now has a grandson and my friend Sonia a granddaughter.
I used a template from the lovely Kristina Werner's website to create these two little congratulations cards for their daughters and son-in-laws.
The blue one celebrates the arrival of baby Isaac and the pink one celebrates the arrival of baby Lacey.
Card recipe:
Bazzills cardstock.
Hero Arts sentiments.
Shoes stamp - Personal impressions.
Pink - Urban Lilly: Soda pop collection/Poppy
Blue - Sassaffraslass: Sew Fine/Emiline.
Coloured with Watercolour pencils and plenty of glitter glue on the pink shoes for a little girly touch.
