The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge # 211 - W is for Wicked

We're all about W is for Wicked for the next two weeks over at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!

Edna, the fabulous Queen Fran and the sistahs have all gone witchy... I went off in a completely different direction with a MFT kitty and a pithy sentiment from The Ink Road!

Whichever way you go with this theme we'd love you to come play along!

Lets Squash It Challenge #20 - Squash Those Scraps!

Over in the Land of Squash we've been squashing scraps this month and using our EFs to take things up a notch.

I had a few pieces of this pretty paper in my stash and decided to bring two scraps together with this lovely dotty, spotty EF and a gorgeous floral from Stamplorations.

I love how using an EF in this way really pulls together the two papers to make a cohesive and pleasing card.

There's still a few days left until the end of the month, so why not come play along?

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #62 - Reminder

Hi there, it's reminder post for Challenge #62 and I'm so pleased as I get the pleasure of sharing yet more cards by our lovely elf, Arlene!

Along with the die cuts that Arlene sent me, she was also kind enough to include some stamped images. I couldn't resist colouring this gorgeous Santa! Isn't he a beaut?

Slimline and CAS just seem made for one another, and I'm very pleased with how this card has turned out. Once again, the die cuts are from Arlene!

I honestly don't think I'd have tried this format of card without Arlene's encouragement. It's just so lovely for Christmas cards and I can't thank her enough for nudging me in this direction! We both hope you'll also accept a little creative nudge and come and play along!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #110 - F is for F Words

There's another fab challenge just starting over at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers where we're playing with the letter 'F'. The choice of your 'F Word' is all yours... I went for Feline, and possibly another starting with F!

The cat image is one of the smaller stamps from this set by Art Impressions and the sentiment comes from The Ink Road.

I've modelled the kitty on the late, great Mr. C. I really do miss my special boy.

The sisters, and our queen, have really nailed this theme so please head on over and come and join the fun!

Let's Squash It! Challenge #20 - Squash Those Scraps!

Welcome, welcome, welcome! It's the 10th of the month and so this can mean only one thing: there's a brand new challenge over at Let's Squash It!

This month we're all about the scraps. Whether it's plain cardstock, coloured card or patterned paper we want to see you squashing those scraps!

Here's what I made for the challenge.

I had quite a few different pieces of DP leftover from previous projects, so I cut myself a cardstock base and then just added the snippets in an appealing pattern. Then I ran this through my embossing machine and here's the result!

The cute panda is from Creative-Depot and the 'Fabulous' die is from Stamplorations.

I'm also linking-up at the official home of the Snippet - Snippets Playground Challenge #427.

Gail and I have a fabulous guest designer with us for this challenge, and I know you'll love what she's made to inspire us all, so please head on over and take a look!

Christmas Kickstart Challenge # 62 - Mini-Slimline

This month at Christmas Kickstart I'm delighted to be joined by my friend Arlene from A Bit of This and That!

Arlene has guested before at Christmas Kickstart and she's chosen another fun theme of 'Mini-Slimline' for us to play with!

You can see what Arlene made for this challenge by heading over to Christmas Kickstart by clicking here. This isn't a format I'd tried before and so Arlene kindly sent me some slimline die cuts to get me started. Thanks so much, Arlene, you're a star!

The slimline sizing was just perfect to make this simple little card using am image and sentiment from Colorado Craft Company called Christmas Tree Cat.

For my next card I thought I'd try a landscape slimline. I'm not sure I quite nailed the design with this one, but the little mouse from Art Impressions makes me smile.

I hope you come and join Arlene and me over at Christmas Kickstart!

April 2022 Card Chain Challenge Reveal

It's time for another gorgeous Card Chain Challenge Reveal!

We had 34 participants who exchanged cards across the globe this month.

Total number of cards exchanged thus far by Card Chain Challenge participants is 3,624.

All the cards exchanged this month used at least one of the following options:

Colour Palette Option

(Exact colour matching is not required.)

Sketch Option

(Orient as desired.)

Theme Options: Spring / Wild / Friendship

Product / Technique Options: Vellum / Slimline

With colours like these I just HAD to go with bees! I think I also covered our options of Spring, Wild and Friendship too.

My card went buzzing across to Joanne in Connecticut, who is a new player at CCC.

I couldn't believe my luck when I found the flower border in amongst some very old stamps. I've no idea where the stamps came from but just look how well they match the flower on this MFT set called Honey Bees!

My sender for this month is Patti from Ohio.

Isn't this lovely? Thanks so much, Patti, I really like the CAS elegance of your card.

Please take a look at the rest of the Reveal by clicking here. I love all the different ways in which the guys used our themes!
