Happy August!

Hi Blogsters, I finally manged to hit the craft room this morning and what a happy time it's been!
I'm sorry to have been away for so long, but thankfully my Level 3 Teaching Assistant course is completed and I am told my certificate should be arriving later this month.

I wasn't expecting to create this card when I sat down at my work desk, as I was planning something very CAS. However, this is what I ended up with!

I used C1 - 238 from Crafty Individuals for the centre panel and coloured with Promarkers. Then I went to town with Distress Ink (Antique Linen) as I wanted to achieve a look that hinted at old photographs. I cut out the individual pictures, distressed them and then mounted them on a freshly stamped panel, which I had embossed in gold and distressed with Frayed Burlap and Antique Linen. The pink card 'frame' was again distressed to deepen the colour and then stamped with Ranunculus SSC1082 from Stampendous. I mounted the frame onto some yummy chocolaty brown card from Stampin' Up! For some reason the camera has picked out the deep pink accents on each picture and made them look really obvious and clumsy. In reality they don't look as bold or vibrant.

I thought I'd also share this funny little Gnome card for my Hubby's birthday at the end of June. Don't you just love this little guy from Paper Smoochies???

Happy crafting everyone!

Help needed...

Long time no blog...

Sorry guys, but I'm still busy with work and studies so am having to stay on the Blogland sidelines for a bit longer. I'm very confused about the whole Bloglovin thing and would certainly welcome some advice about what to do to get ready for 1st July.

BTW, did anyone spot my card in the current edition of Craft Stamper Magazine??? I did a happy dance around WHSmiths - much to my DH's embarrassment.

I'm counting down to the end of the school year as I've just bought some new stamps and can't wait to get them inked up.
Happy crafting everyone!

How do you spell 'Bootilicious'?

Hi there!

Sorry to have been away for a little while but I've been hard at work on my level 3 teaching assistant course.
Today I decided to take a break and join in the fun over at Less is More. It's a recipe challenge and that recipe is humour! And what a witty lot you LIMettes are. I've enjoyed a good giggle checking out all the comical cards this week.

Here's my offering

...not exactly hilarious but hopefully it'll make a few of you chuckle.

Have a happy day everyone!

Sharing a giant bunny!

Hi everyone, while I haven't got a card to share today I thought you might enjoy a peek at the bunny I drew for the library.

I'm having to take a little break from card making while I try to get to grips with my course work. Thankfully it's half-term next week so I'm hoping to squeeze in some creative fun amongst the studying.

Happy crafting everyone!

Hope your day is fabulous...

Happy Sunday!
What a lovely sunny day we've enjoyed here in the UK today.

I'm just dropping by to share a card made today using the new release from A Day for Daisies. Isn't she a sweetie? She's called 'Wild Rose Nymph' and is currently on sale at 50% off.

I coloured her with Promarkers, and then used Heliotrope Versacolour for her wings as I wanted a much softer look then I could achieve with a pen. A smoosh of glitter was then lightly applied so that it didn't look too heavy.

I made this card as my entry for the LIM Week #118 colour challenge. The girls want us to pick a colour from either side of the colour wheel. I went with Violet and Yellow Green. Yes, I know a little pale violet has crept in but I did notice that Chrissie had two different shades of green on her card so I'm hoping my card will pass muster.

Happy crafting everyone, and enjoy the Bank Holiday tomorrow if you live in the UK!
