The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #180 - Z is for Zoom Meeting

For our latest challenge over at The Sisterhood we bring you a very topical theme: Zoom Meeting!

To say the sistahs have had fun with this one is a serious understatement. We had a blast, and we've got a fabulous guest who clearly enjoyed the theme too.

I had heaps of fun creating my card. I knew right from the off that this gorgeous set from Jane's Doodles would do the job perfectly.  I stamped the glasses from a variety of other stamp sets and then masked to add the images of the girls.

Please drop by and join the fun!

Pixie's Snippets Playground Challenge #397

Hi there, I'm delighted to be playing in the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

I played for the first time a couple of weeks ago and love the idea of using up those little snippets of paper and card, so here I am joining the fun again. Thanks to Di for the lovely welcome, which was such a sweet surprise!

My card uses some leftover yellow dotty card. I was so lucky that I had just enough to cut a circle and a tiny sentiment strip. I thought the dots would be a fun contrast with the bunting of the embossing folder.

I coloured adorable Edna (Edna Needs A Martini by Stamping Bella) and added lashings of Wink of Stella to her rose, martini, shoes and wings. Such a fun way to use up snippets and scraps.

So, stay safe and keep crafting everyone!

Chain Chain Challenge Reveal - February 2021

Hello and welcome - it's time for another, fabulous Card Chain Challenge reveal.

We had 32 participants who exchanged cards across the globe this month thus making our total number of cards exchanged an amazing 3,245!

All the cards exchanged this month used at least one of the following options:

Colour Palette Option

(Exact matching is not required.)

Sketch Option

(Orient as desired.)

Theme Options: Chinese New Year/ Polar Bears/Love/Friendship

Product / Technique Options: Ribbon/Texture

It turned out that February 27th was International Polar Bear day so I snuck in an additional theme option of polar bears and was thrilled to see how many of our participants picked up on this!

My recipient for this month is the lovely Linda W in Minnesota. I just hope my card reaches her as the birthday card I sent after sending her CCC card has managed to overtake it en route!

Long time CCC player Robyn Oliver in Australia was my sender, and just look at this gorgeous bear in his starry jumper! Thanks, Robyn, I love him!

If you want to join in the fun, you can sign up for the March Card Chain Challenge until Saturday, 6th March. If you miss the March sign-up then why not join our April Card Chain Challenge sign-up which begins the very next day on 7th March and ends on 6th AprilHope to see you there!

The Christmas Kickstart Challenge #48 - Green Christmas

It time for a new challenge at Christmas Kickstart and I'm thrilled to be joined by The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers (and our beloved mascot, Edna) to supply the inspiration for this month!

I'm so grateful to my fabulous sistahs for getting green and festive, so please come and take a look at their beautiful cards.

Here's what I made for the challenge.

I just couldn't resist inking-up some Ink Road fun (Happy Holla Days) for this one - Santa looks good in green, right?

For my second card I used the same Pine Tree Forest MFT stencil and created an inky background and then stencilled with a mixture of acrylic paint and embossing paste.

The die cut sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and looks gorgeous IRL, but proved impossible to photograph! The green and silver just looks so good together.

For his Random Raffle prize this month Rudolph has bagged a cheeky little sentiment stamp from Crafter's Companion.

Hope you'll come on over and play along!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #179 - Q is for Queen

Just look at that graphic - do we have the best graphics goddess or what!

Yes, another stunning Edna signals a new challenge for the sisterhood, and I can guarantee you'll be singing Bohemian Rhapsody for the rest of the day!

It took me a little while to get my head around this one, but once I'd found a teeny, tiny crown in a Unity Grab Bag I was away!

The sistahs have created some fabulously regal fun for this challenge, so please head on over and take a look!

Let's Squash It! Challenge #5 - Reminder

We have another couple of weeks to run with this challenge until it ends on February 28th. Just because February 14th has come and gone doesn't mean we have to put away the red and pink card or the heart patterned embossing folders!

Meet Alice Girl from Picket Fence Studios and her heart embossing folder panel from Papermania called Checkmate. She was a joy to colour.

I also thought I'd share this masculine Valentine's Day card using the same folder to show how different colourways can create a totally different look!

The glasses and the sentiment are real oldies from Paper Smoochies. I was trying to achieve a slightly more masculine look for this card so kept the colour palette limited to just three colours. I had such fun adding the vellum lenses to the glasses.

Gail, GDT Joanne, and I really hope you'll come and join the fun before the end of the month.
