The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #232 - Z is for Zodiac

We're playing Z is for Zodiac for the next two weeks over at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and we'd love it if you'd come and play too! If you don't feel like riffing on the Zodiac theme, we'll be delighted to see birthday-themed cards for this challenge.

I did a bit of Googling and found this little piece of craziness to pair with a VLVS image. The background is one of my gel prints.

I have a Taurian friend who is going to get this for her birthday... I wonder what she'll make of it?!

The Sistahs have created some brilliant cards, and we have a quest who has blown this one out of the ball park, so please come and join the fun.

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #73 - Reminder

Hi there, Kickstarters, I hope you're having a fab day. This month we're all about Gnomes as over at Christmas Kickstart as we're playing...

Challenge #73 - Gnome for Christmas

We have the lovely Gail from Crafty Nomad as our elf and here's a quick reminder of the delightful rocker card she made as her inspiration piece for the challenge

I just fell in love with Gail's card and decided to shamelessly CASE it! It rocks like a dream and was such fun to make.

I die cut a circle from white card and then a smaller circle from some spotty paper. I decided the white was too stark, so blended things together with some Distress Ink. The fun, little trio of Gnomes are from Two Jays Stamp Company. There are six in the set and I love working with them. I wanted to add the greeting in a fun way, so I drew some little hands for the middle gnome and had him hold the little MFT banner.

My next card features a stamp that I think is from VLVS, but I can't find it and I'm wondering if it came from somewhere else.

Not my usual style, but still fun to make and I used up a few snippets of Christmas paper along the way. If you want something similar to this cute couple VLVS have some great alternatives right here

Don't forget that Rudolph's Random Raffle is for this cute little penguin stamp set and everyone who follows the challenge guidelines will go into the draw for this little cutie.

I'm linking this card over at Simon Says: Shaped Card on the Wednesday Challenge Blog where there is some amazing inspiration for cards that aren't square or rectangular!

Please, come and join the fun over at Christmas Kickstart!

Rockin' Rabbit!

Hi there, I'm happy to be playing at two of my favourite challenges today with this sweet card!

I'm linking to LCD - where they're playing Rock or Pop for Challenge #164...

And also at Snippet's Playground for Challenge #451 as I've used a snippet of gingham paper from another card plus some watercolour hearts left over from a project I made a few weeks ago. The bunny and the sentiment are from a cute Waffle Flower set.

A good day to hide in the craft room as it was chilly and wet, but come on Spring - where are you?

Challenge #73 - Gnome for Christmas

It's time for Challenge #73 over at Christmas Kickstart where we've got one of our regular elves dropping by from Norway to supply the inspiration... Yes, it's my partner in crafting, Crafty Nomad Gail!

Our theme for this challenge (chosen by Gail) is...

Challenge #73 - Gnome for Christmas

Isn't this Santa Gnome adorably cute? I had fun colouring him and only hope that he isn't stuck in that chimney pot! If you follow the link above you'll fin Santa and his fabulous Gnome buddies for sale at Lost Coast Design. You just need to scroll down the 'NEW' section to find them.

For my second card I used an amazing image from Lesia Zgharda who runs an online store from her home in Ukraine. If you're not familiar with her stamps, please head on over to her shop and take a look. I think her products are amazing.

It wouldn't be Christmas Kickstart without Rudolph and his Random Raffle and this is what he's chosen as his prize for the challenge:

Don't forget that everyone who enters the challenge, and meets the challenge guidelines, goes into the prize draw to win this cute penguin stamp. Hope to see you there!

Card Chain Challenge Reveal - March 2023

Welcome, friends, it's time for another Card Chain Challenge Reveal.

We had 34 players for this challenge and our total number of cards exchanged thus far is a whopping 3,945.

Our themes for this challenge were:

Colour Palette Option

(Exact matching is not required.)

Sketch Option

(Orient as desired.)

Theme Options: Irish / Birds / Friendship

Product / Technique Options:  Stamps / Rocker Card

I'm not quite sure why I went for a bunny on the card I sent to Joanne in UK as it wasn't one of our themes! However, I did use the colour palette and the themes of friendship and stamps. I just love this Katzelkraft bun.

My sender this month was Kati in Germany and just look what she created. This picture doesn't do justice to this lovely, special make. Thanks so much, Kati, I love it!

Don't forget that if you want to join in the fun, you can sign up for the Card Chain Challenge.  All sign ups run in advance, from the 7th of the preceding month to the 6th of the exchange month.  All reveals happen on the 2nd of the month after the exchange is complete. Hope to see you there!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #231 - B is for Bunny

We're celebrating Easter in our own special way over at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers for the next two weeks as we play B is for Bunny! As you can see, Edna has dressed for the occasion.

I was surprised at just how many bunny stamps I have in my stash, but it was this little member of the Leporidae family who caught my eye.

This little gal is from a very, very old set from Hero Arts called Sending Happy Thoughts and I've linked to the only available seller I can find.

The sentiment comes c/o my superbly, snarky sistah, Chris, who created this fab set for Stamplorations a while back. I've just been over to Stamplorations to find the link and I'm so happy to see that Shery is sharing some good news on her Cancer Journey Blog site. Keep going, Shery, you're doing great!

Happy crafting, everyone!
