Happy, happy...

After a super busy weekend it's been a treat today to do the Supermarket run and then settle down for some crafting!

I coloured this sweet little image by Claire Keay a few days ago. However, my mojo needed the kick start of this lovely sketch from Stamp with fun before I could get creating. The papers are a bit of a first for me as they are digital papers from Pink Petticoat. The pink paper looked a little washed out when I printed it, but this turned out to be perfect in combination with Spun Sugar Distress ink and the Raindrops background stamp from Hero Arts. I have to say that I am really pleased with the effect.
I may have got a bit OTT with the bling, but I wanted the end result to be a really cheery card with plenty to look at!
The inside of the card simply says 'happy... birthday' to follow on from the tag on the front.
I've also spent the day enjoying the new album by Beady Eye . For anyone who doesn't know them Beady Eye are essentially the Oasis boys minus Noel, who left the group just over a year ago. I didn't really know what to expect but the album is great and I can't wait to see them in concert in April.
This card is for the following challenges:

Hope your Monday wasn't too Monday-ish!

Happy crafting everyone.

Colouring on kraft.

This wasn't the card that I'd intended to make today, but once I'd printed the image I just had to finish the job.

I recently found this fabulous blog and these beautiful digital images. The site is called 'A Day for Daisies' and if these gorgeous digi's don't prove to be a huge hit across Blogland then I'll eat my Cuttlebug!
The image that I used is called 'A Lap full of kittens'. I coloured with pencils as I've recently been seeing lots of images on kraft and wanted to try it. Ok, I need huge amounts of practice, especially when you see cards like this one created by the uber talented Dorcas, but you gotta give it a go! I wasn't especially careful with my stitching as I wanted a slightly childish and whimsical feel to the card. Unfortunately, I think I overdid the wobbliness a bit. This card looks much better in real life, but I just can't seem to get a good picture of it.

The current challenge over at A Day for Daisies is Very Vintage.
The ABC Challenge this week is 'O' is for Ovals.

Happy crafting everyone, it's nearly the weekend!

Mae... in February!

It's grey and drizzly here today so what better time to share a little reminder of Summer in the shape of this sweet digi!
Digital Mae, and her flowery friends, called 'buy me now' when I spotted her over at the Someoddgirl shop. I've been having a few problems with my printer so had to ask my Dad if I could use his computer to print her (plus a few other digi friends). Thanks Dad!

I couldn't resist colouring those cute flowers as sun flowers... and I just had to add some little black pupils to the eyes. The paper is from Basic Grey and that super sunshine cardstock is from Stampin' Up!
I printed the sentiment on my PC, added some ribbons and plenty of bling and then did a silly little happy dance at the result. I wanted bright and cheery and bright and cheery was what I got!
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Papertake weekly Challenge - Putting on the Glitz
Creative Card Crew - Friendship
Digital Tuesday Challenge - Use a Die Cut
Cute Card Thursday - Shiny Happy Cards
Stamp Something - Something Funky
Crazy 4 Challenges - Using Die Cuts

Hope you all have a great weekend!

WOYWW!

It's a little bit of early morning colouring practice on my desk this week.
And I need plenty of practice with this gorgeous Sweet Pea image by Nikki Burnette as there is soooooooo much detail.

Here's the long shot - I need to tidy up a bit!
I thought I'd also share this card that I made for the lovely Sally. Sally was one of the first people to follow my blog and I was happy to return the compliment as her work is gorgeous. Sally has just been chosen as a new Hero Arts Hostess so I thought a little card was in order to send her my congratulations!

I used a gorgeous new stamp called Flower Wreath from Hero Arts and added some sweet little butterflies! I can imagine lot's of different ways to use this beautiful stamp. I think I'll try stamping it on kraft next.
Good luck to Sally and all the new 'Apronettes'!

Must dash as I'm going shopping with a friend and need to shower and decide what to wear.

I'll be back later to check out those other work desks!

I love Blog awards - don't you?

What a nice surprise to click on my comments and discover that the lovely Tracey over at My Creative Place had given me this award!Thank you so much, I am officially 'chuffed to bits!'

The rules of this award are as follows:
1. You must accept it, write a post about it and display it.
2. Pass it to 3 - 5 fab blogs and tell them that they have been given the Love Blog Award.
3. Link back to the person who passed it to you.
The aim of this award is to showcase great but not well known blogs, so don't tag anyone with 3,000 + followers.

Here's my fab five, why not grab a cuppa and take a peek as these blogs are simply brilliant!

Mustavcoffee - Crafty Musings
Vicky - Kips Cards
Tracie - Traciescraftycards
Paula - New Beginnings
Beth - IFR
Thanks again Tracey, you've really made my day!

WOYWW!!!

Hello to all my lovely Blogland buddies!

How wonderful to actually have a full and busy craft table to share today. After two weeks of Jury Service and dropping in at work as much as possible I am one tired gal. I decided that a day of crafting and relaxation (oh, and grocery shopping) was called for.

That's the shot of my workdesk at about 10.30am. It got messier as the morning progressed!
Check out all the rest of the Wednesday action over at Julia's blog here.

And here's a shot of my snoozy companion, Mr Custard, making the most of his comfy little bed.
He likes to supervise my cardmaking exploits from behind his eyelids!
About an hour or so later and here's the finished card.

Ta da!
No prizes for guessing that this is a cute Penny Black image. It's called Cupid at Work and is from the Margaret Sherry collection for 2009. I bought this stamp on eBay and will probably re-sell it as it's not one I'll be able to use very often!
No prizes either for guessing that this card is for my lovely Hubby! I hope he doesn't drop by my Blog before Monday and spoil the surprise. My Hubby seems to have relaxed his 'no pictures of me please' ruling about my blog so here's a picture of him on holiday in Greece last year. He really is as kind and laid back as he looks! I am truly blessed to be married to such a lovely bloke and have to pinch myself sometimes that I got this lucky.

Love is truly in the air around Blogland right now so I'm entering this card for the following challenges:
The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #120 - Valentine.
Allsorts Challenge Week 89 - Love, love, love
Raise the Bar Challenge #52 - Hearts
Cupcake Craft Challenge #128 - Seeing Red

Thanks for dropping by today, and happy crafting everyone!
