Staying cool in the pool.

Hi everyone, I hope you are all keeping well. I had a little time on my hands so decided to play along with the current CASology Challenge:

The DT crew have come up with some of the most imaginative 'takes' on this theme, but I went a little more obvious with my interpretation.

I'm very fond of this Art Impressions stamp called Mrs Ed - Float On and always enjoy colouring her flowery bathing costume. I tried using the new Perfect Pool MFT stencil, but it didn't work out as well as I'd hoped - more practise needed!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #165 - D is for Dogs

The sisterhood have another fabulously fun challenge on offer for the next fortnight: D is for Dogs!

I just had to buy this adorable BB set from My Favorite Things (I may also have bagged the cat set too!) as I knew I'd have heaps of fun with the cute images.

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #34 - Starry, Starry Night.

There's a brand new challenge at Christmas Kickstart! 

We have a new elf in dah house and I'm sure it's someone many of you will recognise as it's the very talented Pia S!

Our theme is Starry, Starry Night

Yes, we'd like to see some stars on your card for challenge #34 and I know you'll love the card that Pia has created for this challenge - it's over on the CKC site, so please go take a look!

I couldn't resist creating a night sky for this cute MFT bear. The top sentiment is from Winter Wear by Concord and 9th and the second sentiment is from Jane's Doodles Winter Fun set.

My second card is this one:

The stamp is from Penny Black and is called Cuddle in the Snow - it's such an oldie that it isn't available now.

Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone is doing ok today.

The STB gang have a fun challenge on offer and it's one that tested me a little as they want to see non-neutral card bases on our cards!

I broke out Edna wants a martini from Stamping Bella and paired her with a bling-tastic background created with a martini glass from Newton's Nook Cocktail Mixer set. I added red glitter  card and plenty of Wink of Stella too.

This card proved a real challenge to photograph!

The DT cards are gorgeous and the gallery is filling up nicely for this challenge, so why not head on over and join the fun!

Christmas in July

Thankfully, Christmas in July is the new theme over at Lost Coast Designs and not the latest shock/surprise from 2020!

My card is a sweet and simple combo of a cute snowman from Paper Smooches plus a snowflake and sentiment from WPlus9. Simples!

Turns out that it's Christmas in July at Shopping Our Stash too.

We've now reached July and this is the month where Christmas Kickstart changes from monthly challenges to fortnightly challenges, so hold onto your hats as we speed towards Christmas!

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #33 - Hatty Christmas

Yes, for this fortnight we'd like to see a HAT or HATS on your cards, please, and you can see Gail's cute creation for this challenge over on the CKC blog.

This is Pablo the Penguin! Isn't he cute? He's a magazine freebie from Making Cards Magazine and has a few friends in the set too. The knitted effect background is called Knitted Sweater by MFT and the sentiment if from Mama Elephant. 

For my second card I went with a sweet Santa (after all, he is wearing a hat!) and a super CAS style.

Rudolph has another lovely Random Raffle Prize to award to one lucky participant - just look at all those gorgeous sentiments!

Card Chain Challenge - June 2020 Reveal

Hi there, I hope that everyone is doing well and staying safe.

It's the 2nd day of the month and, as always, there's a beautiful Reveal on offer over at CCC.

We had these gorgeous colours...

a sweet sketch...

and theme options of The Beach, CAS and friendship plus product options of Book Paper and Tape to play with!

Here's my card, which went winging its way across the world to Chris in IL, USA.

I've wanted to make a card like this for ages and enjoyed the challenge of putting it together.

My sender for this month was Mia in Greece. Just look at the tiny butterflies - so cute.

It's been a very special month over at CCC as we've been celebrating an amazing total of 3,000 sent and received!

We've had heaps of fun, and Gail and I have been blown away by the participation and love from all the players!

The CCC was started by the wonderful Deborah Nolan back in September 2009 and I love that some of her first players are still part of the chain all these years later! I first joined the chain in February 2010, and here's the first card I sent to my recipient, former player Cassi in Vienna, USA. Well done to eagle-eyed Kath who worked out that I was the sender very, very quickly when I posted it on the Game #1 post!
