The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #271 - B is for Black, Black Heart

We're having far, far too much fun over at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers with Challenge #271 as we play B is for Black, Black Heart. Doesn't Edna look the bizz?

We'd like to see anti-valentines or black on your cards, or even a combination of the two - whatever floats your crazy little love boat.

Here's what I made using one of my most favourite stamps from Rubber Moon designed by Mary Engelbreit. I don't know why this lil gal makes me laugh so much, but she does!

BTW, you may be relieved to know I'm not sending the card above to my hubby. He's getting this one instead!

The XOXOXOXO background is from Simon Says Stamp and I cannot stop playing with it. Seriously, I. Just. Can't.

I'm linking this little chameleon card over at Inkspirational because their word prompt of XOXO just seems to fit perfectly!

The current AAA Colourful Challenge also seems like a good place for my cards to go and play.

And I'm also linking to Lost Coast Design as rightly, or wrongly, I think my chameleon card fits in here too... sort of!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #246 - N is for New

We're celebrating all things NEW over at the Sisterhood with our January Challenge

New Year, new techniques, new crafting goodies... If it's new then link it up!

Just before we get going, did you notice that Sister Lee has worked her magic again for our challenge graphic? Our NEW Edna is in a Barbie box. So clever!

My NEW creation uses a fun Mary Engelbreit image and sentiment, one of my Gel Prints, a new-to-me Sheena Douglas die cut - Make Timeand some gorgeous golden numbers by Mama Elephant.

This is the first time I've inked-up this Mary Engelbriet set, and it was great fun to work with! You can buy these stamps from Rubber Moon, and I'd probably buy more if they weren't so difficult to purchase for a UK-based crafter. Thanks to Sister Chris for helping me get my hands on the one's I have!

In addition, I'm linking my card to The current ANYTHING GOES Challenge at The Lost Coast Portal to Creativity. They have a few changes taking place and their challenge has gone monthly. Also, they have a few changes to their rules:
  • You can enter the challenge 2 times using any named brand of rubber or clear stamps and can combine your entry with a maximum of 5 other challenges (total 6 challenge links).
  • If you use Lost Coast Designs or Carmen's Veranda stamps on your project you can enter the challenge as many times as you want and link up to as many other challenges as you want. Remember to mention in your post which Lost Coast Designs or Carmen's Veranda stamps you have used.
This is a great site with an amazing DT and a store chock full of fabulous stamps, so why not head on over and check it out!

Meanwhile, back to The Sisterhood who are ready and waiting for you to come and play along! Our challenges are now monthly to give you guys plenty of time to join the fun.

Black and White

I love making black and white cards, so was delighted to find that Color Hues Challenge #14 has Black and White as the current theme.

I broke out my newest stamp set (thanks to my mail person for helping me acquire this!) and got her inked-up. Isn't she fun? She's an older image from Mary Engelbreit and I love that little bit of 'tude that she's got going on.

I used a tiny snippet of design paper (Which I've been hoarding for about ten years) to give her something to stand on. I think this qualifies my card to go play at Pixie's Snippets Playground again for Challenge #398.

What a fun challenge this is, and Di is such a lovely host. I'm just sorry it took me so long to find my way there!

I'm heading to the post box and then back into the craft room for the rest of the day. Keep crafting and keep safe everyone!
