Reminder for Christmas Kickstart Challenge #88

Over at Christmas Kickstart we're in the company of lovely Leslie from Running With Scissors. Thanks for being our elf, Leslie.

There are some gorgeous cards in the linky gallery and we'd both like to say a big 'thank you' to everyone who has played along thus far.

Our theme for July is
Festive Frames

We'd like to see a FRAME on your Christmas card!

Here's a little reminder of the beautiful card Leslie has created for our challenge...

There's so much inspiration on offer here! Leslie has used a PB stamp, so I decided to ink-up these adorable PB mice. I also decided to steal Leslie's wide frame and faux stitching, and where she added a 'pop' of design paper with that pretty ric-rac die, I put a design paper panel behind the mice. This was so much fun to do, thanks for letting me CaSE your card, Leslie!

I thought I'd link my card to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge 'Anything Goes' option as I've not had the opportunity to play long there for a little while.

Finally, don't forget that Rudolph has a sweet little prize on offer this month for his Random Raffle Draw

Leslie and I can't wait to see what you create, so please hurry on over and join the fun!

Let's Get Floral...

The very talented folk over at AAA Birthday have a lovely challenge on offer:

My mom's cousin will be celebrating her birthday next week. I thought I'd break out my set of Sizzix Thinlets 664164, a Hero Arts Woodblock plus some Distress Oxides, and create her card to join the fun at AAA Birthday.

I do love a quick and easy card, don't you?

The DT have created some beautiful cards, so why not go take a look - they have so  much inspiration on offer.

Have a happy day, folks.

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - L is for Lindsey

This month the Sisterhood are celebrating the life of our much missed Sister, Lindsey.

Lindsey passed away on July 21st, 2022, and the sistahs are taking this opportunity to send love to her husband, Burke, and to all of her family and friends. We're also sending head scritches and chin tickles to Lindsey's beloved cat, Duncan. It's hard to put into words just how much we all miss our our wise and witty friend.

To honour her and celebrate her life, this month we invite you to create a project that was inspired by Lindsey. You'll find heaps of inspiration on Lindsey's blog or Instagram account to help you out.

Here's what I created for this memory challenge. I used Hero Arts Heart Flourish stamp and Impression Obsession Sketch Cat (currently at Summer sale price) and was inspired by this card made by Lindsey. I heat embossed the cat image as that was something that Lindsey did, and I have to say it's certainly added some oomph to the card.

I miss you so much, Lindsey, and can only thank you for your friendship, and also for introducing me to the wonderful women who are The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

Card Chain Challenge Reveal - June 2024

We had 26 fabulous participants who exchanged cards across the globe this month. Our total number of cards exchanged thus far by Card Chain Challenge participants is 4,416. I think that's totally amazing, don't you?!

All hail Gail, and the amazing amount of time and effort she puts into keeping our chain of crafting and friendship bobbing along so beautifully! Thanks also to all our players - you guys rock!

All the cards exchanged this month used at least one of the following options:

Colour Palette Option

(Exact matching is not required.)

Sketch Option

(Orientate as desired.)

Theme Options: Summer / Maritime / Friendship

Product / Technique Options:  Foil / Weaving

I sent this to Barbara in Switzerland

I hope Barbara likes her card - I had loads of fun making it for her, and also dreaming of sunny holidays at the beach. The towel was made by stamping Simon Hurley Cling Painted Lines in three different colours. The sunglasses come from a very old, but very cute Hero Arts Background Cling, and the flip-flops are from a retired Hero Arts block set. Typing this, I'm beginning to realise just how old some of the stamps in my collection actually are. The Relax die cut is still available here

I received this beautiful card from Gundi in Germany. Just look at all the sweet details she's included.

I think our Reveals just get better and better each month, but don't just take my word for it - please drop by and take a look

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #88 - Festive Frames

We have a brand new challenge starting today at Christmas Kickstart, and we're so lucky to be joined by the very talented to Leslie from Running With Scissors!

Our theme for July is
Festive Frames

We'd like to see a FRAME on your Christmas card!

I know that you will love what Leslie has created for our challenge, so please click on over and take a look.

Here's what I made:

I did a little shopping on Sid's Selling Site on Facebook, and bought a beautiful set from Waltzing Mouse Stamps. Anyone else remember that company? Gorgeous products, but sadly no longer in business. The frame is from Simon Say's Stamp, but I don't think its available now. I'm sorry I'm using so many older products, but us retired gals can't splash the cash like we used to!

Rudolph is offering a sweet Random Raffle Prize for this challenge:

Look everyone, it's a baby Rudolph!

Leslie and I hope you'll come and join the fun, and we can't wait to see what you create!

And how lovely to discover that it's Christmas in July over at Lost Coast Designs

My little card will jingle it's way over there to join the fun!

Merry Little Christmas Challenge

Hi guys, thanks for joining me to welcome in a brand new month AND a brand new challenge over at The Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog!

A big thank you to my dear blogging buddy, Gundi, for this gorgeous little kitty image. If you'd like to buy this little sweetie you can do so here. I used the centre of Simon Says Stamp's Joyful die as the little box for this sweet guy to stand on.

As always, there's some great inspiration on offer over at MLCC, so why not drop by and take a look!
