Let's Squash It! Challenge #22 - Keep it CAS

It's the final call over at Let's squash It! for our CAS Challenge. Even though I'm still on the Covid sick list I felt well enough to do a little cardmaking this morning and this was the result.

I really do love the EF I used for this card: Distressed Lines by Creative Expressions which I combined with a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp and a watercolour background and some cute shapes from my scraps box.

There's still a week left to play along in this challenge, and Gail, our lovely guest Carol and I hope all you'll come and join the fun.

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers

Hi guys, I'm down with Covid so have not felt well enough to make anything for this challenge.

I'm very proud that my special crafting chum, Gail, is our Queen for this challenge and I know you'll love her crazy card.

Heartbreakingly, The Sisterhood are sharing some very sad news: we've lost our much loved Sister Lindsey who died earlier this week. Please head on over to see Donna's beautiful words about our dear friend.

Christmas Kickstart Reminder - Challenge #64

Anyone else a bit surprised that July is half-way over?

I'm so happy to have Helen B of Helen's Craft Haven on board as our elf for this month's challenge over at Christmas Kickstart.

Challenge #64 - Show us your Snowfolk!

This is my 'inspired by...' card,  which means I get to shamelessly CASE some of the beautiful details of Helen's card, which you can see here!

One of the things I love about visiting Helen's blog is how she uses pencil crayons to colour her chosen images. I'm not very good at using pencils crayons (as you can see!), so I thought I'd have a try. I picked this gorgeous Penny Black image because so many of Helen's cards feature  PB stamps, plus her card had three snowmen and is landscape slimline format. I do love the little story that this fun stamp tells.

Rudolph has chosen a fun Woodware Craft Collection tag prize for this month's Random Raffle Prize.

Helen and I both hope you'll head on over to Christmas Kickstart and play along with our fun theme!

Let's Squash It! Challenge #22 - Keep it CAS

We're all about clean and simple cards over at Let's Squash It! this month as we play Keep it CAS!

I think I've kept things reasonably CAS for my creation, although I did get a little carried away with the boots and the flowers. The EF is Altenew Dotty Circles - isn't it pretty! I really do like these 3-D folders from Altenew as they give great depth and pristine embossing. The boots and flowers are from a set that I don't think is quite kosha, despite being advertised as such.

We have a lovely new guest over at Let's Squash It! as Empress Carol joins us with a beautiful card which is just so perfectly CAS.  And you'll all go 'squeeeeeee...' when you see Gail's card for this challenge. Come and take a look and please play along!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #214 - C is for Christmas (In July)

It's July, and so of course The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers are playing Christmas in July!

We have the fabulous Queen Beverley on hand to lead her noble subjects as they get super snarky with the festive season.

Here's what I made for the challenge...

Isn't this little kitty a cutie? I wonder if he really has been good all year?

The cat and the sentiment are both from Meowy Christmas by Your Next Stamp. This is a great little set and I can see me using every single image as they're all such fun.

The Sisters have really gone to town for this challenge, so why not come on over and join the fun!

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #64 - Show us your Snowfolk

It's the first Tuesday of a new month and so that just has to mean that a new challenge is starting over at Christmas Kickstart! I'm delighted to be joined by Helen B of Helen's Craft Haven for our July challenge.

I'm a long time fan of Helen's beautiful cards and awesome colouring, and I know you're going to love the card she's made for our challenge which is:

Challenge #64 - Show us your Snowfolk!

Yes, Helen picked a lovely theme for our challenge together and I rushed off to my craftroom to break out my snowman stamps. Here's what I made:

Isn't it strange how the camera picks-up things that your eyes just don't! The splashes of white paint are way more subtle IRL. This cute snowman is from a very old Papermania Do-Crafts set I picked up on eBay a few years ago. The set has some gorgeous elements and I have no idea why anyone would want to part with it! Sadly, it doesn't seem to available anywhere now.

The sentiment and snowflakes are from a Simon Says Stamp set, which is another oldie and no longer available.

My second card for the challenge is this one:

I decided to use my favourite snowman stamp (PB - Snowy), but just swap things around a little by pairing him with these stamps from Simon Says Stamp set Circle Sayings Holiday

Rudolph has chosen a super fun stamp as his Random Raffle Prize for this challenge.

Helen and I both hope that you'll come and join us!

Card Chain Challenge Reveal - June 2022

Once again we have a beautiful Reveal on offer at Card Chain Challenge.

We had 28 participants who exchanged cards across the globe this month, thus bringing our grand card exchange total to 3,685! Thank you so much to everyone who plays along and supports this challenge.

All the cards exchanged during June used at least one of the following options:

Colour Palette Option

(Exact matching is not required.)

Sketch Option

(Orient as desired.)

Our themes were fluffy, funny and friendship and our products and techniques were pipe cleaners and pop-ups.

I sent this card to my sweet friend Arlene:

I'm still loving my Chris Dring and Stamplorations combos and just had to grab the kraft card when I saw 'Taupe' in the colour palette!

And was delighted to receive this lovely card from lovely Pia in Norway.

I just love the deckle edges on those die cuts! Thanks so much, Pia.

I do hope you'll go take a look at the Reveal post, and maybe this will be the month that YOU decide top come and join the fun over at Card Chain Challenge
