The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #269 - C is for Cheeky Christmas

Another truly splendid graphic from Sister Lee heralds a brand new challenge from The Sisterhood as we play C is for Cheeky Christmas

Here's what I made using a fun image from VLVS...

I'm linking this card to Anything Goes over at Lost Coast Designs. This is such a fab challenge and I really should make it a resolution to play there more often!

The Sistahs have created some fun cards and we'd love you to get your cheeky on and come and join the fun!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #268 - D is for Drink

Greeting Fans of Snark, it's time for another fun challenge over at The Sisterhood, and this month we bring you D is for Drink!

I had fun playing with these cute VLVS ladies. They just have such naughty expressions and are great to use on snarky cards!

There are some fun cards on show again this month, and we have our lovely Queen Beverley with us too, so please head on over and take a look!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #262 - R is for Rude

The Sisterhood have only one requirement of your card for this month and that is that it is RUDE!

Sister Lee has once again created the perfect graphic for our challenge, and the team and Good Queen Fran may just have surpassed themselves this month.

Here's what I made using a fun, haughty lady and sentiment from Viva Las Vegas Stamps

Ha ha ha - how rude!

Where's My Hat?

I can finally share this card as I know it's arrived safely with it's recipient in Norway!

Doesn't this little VLVS guy have the sweetest face. I wanted to create a fun background, so got busy with some Distress Inks and torn paper. I wish I'd plucked-up the courage to doodle a border, but I didn't want to spoil the card. It's so often those last little decorative touched that can make or break a project!

I'm sharing this card over at Lost Coast Design, and also at Seize the Birthday where the theme for the current challenge is Stenciling.

It's a lovely sunny day here in the UK, so I'm off to 'play' in the garden. I hope your day is happy too!

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #93 - Reminder

We're all about an Anything Goes Christmas for the whole of December
over at Christmas Kickstart, so why not head over and join the fun!

My first card is this little cutie from Avery Elle set Ho Ho Holidays. The gorgeous embossed background is Origami Folds by Spellbinder. Isn't it lush!

My second card features a sweet little stamp from VLVS

Here's what Rudolph has on offer for one randomly selected winner of his Random Raffle:

Hope to see you there!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #257 - H is for Ho Ho Ho

We have a fun, festive challenge for December over at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers as we play H is for Ho Ho Ho!

I do love this cheeky Albert E. image from VLVS, and couldn't resist pairing him with a naughty sentiment for a little festive fun. He pops up on birthday cards too, but wearing a different hat! The background to this card is just sooooooooo sparkly and features a favourite snowflake stamp from Honey Bee.

The Sisterhood, and GD, Queen Michelle, have created some brilliant cards for this challenge, so please come along, be inspired and play along!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #248 - S is for Snarky

Our Edna seems to be rocking some kind of late eighties vibe in her white slogan tee, or is this just me showing my age?!

Welcome, folks! It's Snark time as The Sisterhood play S is for Snark for the whole of March.

I had quite a bit of fun with this VLVS image and my PC. We all feel her pain, right? Thought so.

The sisters have a fabulous queen on board this month, and we'd all love you to come and join the fun!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #247 - W is for Winter

Love it or hate it, those of us who live in the Northern Hemisphere are currently in the grip of Winter. The Sisterhood are celebrating this with a new challenge: W is for Winter, and we'd love you to come play along!

I had a little fun with a speech bubble die, my PC, a VLVS kitty stamp and a stencil.

The sisters have created some fabulous cards, so please come on over and join us - you now have a whole month to play with our current theme!

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #81 - Reminder

The Holiday Season is in full swing and in 10 days time it'll be Christmas Day!

It's the traditional December Challenge over at Christmas Kickstart as we're playing:

Challenge #81 - If it's Christmassy, Link it Up!

Just link up any Christmas cards you've just created. Yes, it really is as simple as that. If you're stuck for a theme why not look back through the past year of inspiration and fun at Christmas Kickstart where our elfin muses have once again done us proud!

That cute 'n' chunky VLVS kitty is making another appearance on a Christmas card. A friend bought this card from me a week or so ago, but has since told me she's too worried to send it for fear of offending someone! I did offer her the chance to swap it for a different card, but she said she likes it and may keep it just for herself!

And still on the theme of cats, here's a Katzelkraft mini stamp that always makes me smile...

Time for one more?

Another feline favourite is this lil' dude from Carabelle, who I believe have announced that they are closing down. What a pity this is. Stampers Grove have some great Carabelle bargains on offer at the moment.

I think one of my New Year resolutions better be to make less cat cards. However, I doubt if this will be a resolution that will last! 😸😸😸

Rudolph final Random Raffle Prize for 2023 is a cutie.

I hope you'll come and join the fun at Christmas Kickstart for one last time this year!

Round and Round...

I'm sneaking in again at the last minute over at Lost Coast Design! The challenge ends this evening, but I couldn't share this card until today!

I do love these old Silent Movie images from Viva Las Vegas Stamps. Rather than colour her, I decided to stamp and mask, and have her 'pop' against a circle of Distress Inks to match the painty, stenciled background layer.

The Lost Coast Portal to Creativity is such a fab challenge blog AND they offer prizes from their AMAZING online store. This really is a great little site and deserves more support, so why not head over and take a look!

The Christmas Kickstart Challenge #80 - Reminder

It's Reminder time over at The Christmas Kickstart Challenge, where I'm delighted to be hosting my pals The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

This month we're having heaps of fun playing...

And I'm thrilled to see just how many of you are enjoying this crazy, play-it-how-you-want-to theme! There are some great cards in the gallery.

For my Reminder cards I've got these to share:

I had enormous fun creating this card using a stamp set from an older Clearly Besotted set (apparently, no longer available) and a VLVS Flying Saucer. The speech bubble was printed out on my PC. It's not often that my cards entertain or amuse my hubby, but this one did raise a chuckle!

Card #2 is a very different style of card for me.
I had some Gelli prints from a while ago in my stash and decided it was time they saw the light of day. The big snowflake is from Colorado Craft Company Big and Bold - Warm wishes Snowflake. The lovely edging is from Poppystamps and is called Frozen Border. This is an older die and doesn't appear to be currently available, however, this one is similar.

I was amazed to see this beautiful card over on Michele's blog. Great minds think alike!

I hope you'll come and join the fun!

Playing at Color Hues

I was feeling at a bit of a loose end this morning, but all that changed when I found that Light Blue and Purple were the colours over at Color Hues - The Color Challenge.

I was in the mood for a little bit of SNARK.

The gel print was already in my fodder stash, the VLVS ladies were already stamped and so this card came together very quickly.

There are some lovely cards for this challenge that have been created by their very talented DT, so why not head over and take a look!

Pinch, punch and first of the month to you all!

The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge - Day #5

Hi, I hope you're playing along at The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge where we remember and share our memories of our dear friend Janis Woolbright. It's Day #5 today, and we have more sponsors to share!

I'm over on the Challenge sharing a card by Viva Las Vegas Stamps.

Here's what I made:

Unsurprisingly, this stamp is called Fat Cat on a Scale. I quite like the slightly retro look this card has, some of which is due to the colour combo and paper patterns.

This cute guy is called Black and White Cat. I added a Santa hat to make him a little more festive and created the sentiment on my PC.

Another card company I love is Colorado Craft Company. I'm so grateful that they are also one of the sponsors for The Cat Lovers Hop.  I have a real weakness for their Anita Jeram stamps and already have this little beauty on My Wishlist!

This card was such fun to make using a combination of images from CCC. The cat in the hat is from this set, the suave kitty in the bowtie is from this set and the sentiment is from this set.

I hope very much that you'll head over to The Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge and come play along! We have some great cards in the gallery AND some heartwarming comments to read about our dear friend Janis.

If cats sent cards...

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #242 - R is for Retro

Edna and the gang are heading back in time for the next two weeks as we play R is for Retro!

I was gifted this fun design paper and thought it had a bit of a retro vibe about it. The cranky gal stamp is from VLVS and I could use this image again and again and again.

You'll love what we have on offer over at The Sisterhood, so please come on over take a look and join the fun!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #241 - M is for Music

Welcome, welcome, welcome! There's a brand new challenge available at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and we'd love you to come play along!

When I sat down to make this card I discovered I was in the mood for a little black and white, and this is the result!

This VLVS gal and sentiment really seem to sum up how things are going right now!

You'll love what the crew have created, so please head on over and take a look.

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #240 - A is for ATC

We're playing A is for ATC for the next fortnight at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!

When someone says 'ATC' I usually panic nearly as much as when someone says 'Steampunk'! However, I decided that I'd conquer my fear and make something floral or with a cat on it... This is what I made:

Not a cat or a flower in sight, but I had fun pairing this VLVS gal with a little life affirming statement from AI's Housework Set. The background was a gel print I made ages ago using a mask.

We have some great ATC's on show over at the sisterhood from the team and our Queen - you'll love their makes so much!

Christmas in July!

I'm delighted to have made a little crafting time so I can play along with a couple of fun challenges.

I always enjoy playing at Lost Coast Designsand always want to bang the drum both for this excellent challenge and for the LCD and Carmen's Veranda stores too. Honestly, they have an amazing range of stamps!

My friend Gail tipped me off about this new-to-me challenge: Build Your Holiday Stash Cardmakers who are currently playing Christmas in July. There are some fab cards and some amazing prizes on offer over there - so why not take a look!

Here's what I made:

The cute kitty is from Viva Las Vegastamps and he so reminds me of my sweet boy Custard.

It's pouring with rain here in the UK today, so I feel a day of cardmaking coming on! Have a good day wherever you are!
