Challenge #73 - Gnome for Christmas

We have the lovely Gail from Crafty Nomad as our elf and here's a quick reminder of the delightful rocker card she made as her inspiration piece for the challenge

I just fell in love with Gail's card and decided to shamelessly CASE it! It rocks like a dream and was such fun to make.

I die cut a circle from white card and then a smaller circle from some spotty paper. I decided the white was too stark, so blended things together with some Distress Ink. The fun, little trio of Gnomes are from Two Jays Stamp Company. There are six in the set and I love working with them. I wanted to add the greeting in a fun way, so I drew some little hands for the middle gnome and had him hold the little MFT banner. 

My next card features a stamp that I think is from VLVS, but I can't find it and I'm wondering if it came from somewhere else.

Not my usual style, but still fun to make and I used up a few snippets of Christmas paper along the way. If you want something similar to this cute couple VLVS have some great alternatives right here. 

Don't forget that Rudolph's Random Raffle is for this cute little penguin stamp set and everyone who follows the challenge guidelines will go into the draw for this little cutie.

Reminder Time at Christmas Kickstart Challenge

It's Reminder time at Christmas Kickstart and we're playing with a fun theme...

Our elfin inspiration for this month comes from the very lovely Gail over at Crafty Nomad.

Here's what Gail made for the challenge:

I just love this card and MUST add that fun image to My Wish List. I like that Gail made a shaped card and I admire her positioning of the snowman/cat combo, which is perfect inside the double frame.

I don't have too many shaped-dies, but I wanted to make my Inspired by... card a shaped card, so here's the result!

I tried to capture the double-border of Gail's card by using Distress Inks and layering to get a similar effect. I wasn't going to add a sentiment, but my gnome looked lonely without one.

The stamp is from Two Jays Stamp Company and is called Gnomes. The sentiment is from Merry Gnomes by Janes Doodles. I'm linking my gnome to the very talented Die Cut Divas as their current theme is shaped cards.

Rudolph has done us proud with a gorgeous little stamp set as his Random Challenge Prize for August.
