My little bit of ruff!

Happy Saturday Bloggers, I hope you are all having a lovely start to the weekend!

Did you all have a good Valentine's day yesterday? I was spoilt rotten with a lovely card, gorgeous flowers AND a new mug from my wonderful hubby. I felt a bit guilty as I only had a card to give him... but at least I did make it myself! :))

If you are not in the know about Frank Turner you can click on his picture and listen to Recovery - the first single from his new album Tape Deck Heart. We saw him in concert in Manchester last Sunday and he was as fabulous as ever!

I enjoyed using this little guy from the super cute Paper Smooches set Chubby Chums. I stencilled using a mix of Distress inks and then printed the sentiment on my PC. A very quick and simple make!

I'm entering this card for the new Naughty or Nice Challenge #1 as I think it's just a bit cheeky!

Have a great weekend everyone!

January Card Chain Challenge Reveal!

Happy Saturday Bloggers! Its a chilly day in the UK. I'd like to crank the central heating up but we've just had the bill for the previous quarter (eeeeeeeeeeeeek) so perhaps I'll just put on another jumper instead.

The lovely Deborah has re-started her Card Chain Challenges - yippee. I've taken part in quite a few of these challenges in the past and have to say that I always enjoy them. The challenge starts as most challenges do when you choose from a colour palette, a sketch or a theme. Then Deborah's own signature twist kicks in, and you send the card to the person above you in the link-up list.

I love chatting with the other participants AND receiving a lovely handmade card through the post. I've made some long term blogging friends through Deborah's CCC and always enjoy the thrill of opening a card from far away.

In the January Challenge I sent this card to Gail in Norway:

I positively swooned when I opened the envelope to discover this beautiful card from Pat in Virginia. Just take a close look at that embossing, totally flawless or what!

All of the January CCC cards are revealed here on Deborah's Blog.

Deborah has just opened the sign-up for her February Challenge so why not head on over and join the chain yourself?

Happy crafting everyone!

Bathing Beauty!

I love, love, love this super sweet digi created by the very talented Maria. Just look at her face, can't you almost hear that cheeky, girly giggle?

I had a blast making this tag using Cuttlebug dies and some leftover spotty paper.  I often make this style of tag, but rarely show them on my Blog as I think they are sometimes a bit plain. However, I was rather pleased with how this one looked so decided to share it!

Here's the tag on a box of bath goodies, all wrapped up and ready to go.
If you'd like to see more of Maria's digital images drop by at her DT Blog... you won't be disappointed, as my Teamies are an amazingly talented bunch.

Happy crafting everyone.

A cute cat card.

Hi there, I'm sorry I've been away for a little while but life has been a bit busy.

This week at LIM its a sketch challenge, and what a lovely CAS sketch Jen has come up with for us!

I couldn't resist using my latest purchase from Make The Day Special. Don't you just love Newton, from Newton's Nook Stamps? I simply had to colour him to look like my cat Custard.

The cat, paw prints and sentiment are all from the same set, which is called Newton's Antics.

Happy crafting everyone!

Happy 2014

Oh my, I really do have some serious stamp love going on for this little Purple Onion Designs bunny!

Inspired by the LIM Challenge #153 Winter Blues I've created a little Happy 2014 card for my parents (yes, I know I'm a little late!).

I generated the 'Happy' and '2014' on my computer and merged the images to get them aligned as I wanted, then I did a little paper piecing. I coloured the bunny with Promarkers. A few pink stripes just HAD to appear as the card looked a bit plain in just blue and white alone.

I needed a second card, but didn't have enough blue spotty paper so decided to create a green version!

Finally, I'd like to share the beautiful card that my Mom made for me and Hubby.

Beautifully decoupaged and a sweet and simple design, she is such a talented lady.

Happy crafting everyone!
