Guesting with the Sisterhood!

Well, doesn't Edna look er... Kissable!

I'm totally blown away to be guesting with The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers for Challenge #52 having won the coveted Queen of Snark for Challenge #50 with this card.

I tried my best to rustle up some snark but couldn't get away from this idea...

I'll call this cutie Cat-y Perry and I bet you'll be singing the song in your heads for the rest of the day now!

I am totally in love with the Katzelkraft cats and dogs right now and have about a million ideas on how to use them buzzing in my head. The papers are favourites from Echo Park.

I'd like to say a very big thank you to the Snarkettes for having me join them for this challenge... It's been great fun. The Sisters are waiting for you to play along with this fun challenge.  So get over there and get your Snark on!

January 2016 Card Chain Challenge Reveal

It's reveal time again for the Card Chain Challenge over at Deborah's blog.

I decided to make a real effort to use Deborah's colours, sketch, product and theme for my CCC creation this month. As you can see I had heaps of fun with this MFT kitty and her fish!

I did my best with the colours...

and as you can see I flipped the sketch...

and stencilled the background. Excuse me while I high-five myself!!

I sent my card to An'Jenic in Mississippi (An'Jenic has a great blog by the way) and received this lovely card from Janet in Mauritius (Janet also has a great blog!). Thanks, Janet, this is such a beautiful card.

The February Card Chain Challenge sign-up closes in 5 days time.
The March Card Chain Challenge sign-up begins on Sunday, February 7, 2016.

Naughty or Nice Challenge #24

Are you ready to 'See Red' this February?
Maybe the red you'll see will be a beautiful bouquet of red roses, a giant red heart-shaped box of chocs, gorgeous red lingerie or the red face of your loved one as he realises he's completely forgotten Valentines day... again!

Strangely enough, I've got another shaped card to show you!
Don't you just love this little fellah from Katzelkraft? He certainly makes me smile and I rather like the idea of him being a bit of a ladies man!

As usual, The Troublemakers had loads of fun with this challenge so why not drop by and take a look at their inspiration cards... We'd love you to play along with us this month!

House of Cards February Challenge

Hi, everyone. It's time for another new monthly challenge over at House of Cards

For February, Mynn and the gang want you to 'Shape-up' and create a shaped card... That's anything other than a square or a rectangle if you were wondering.

To be honest I thought I'd struggle with this challenge. I usually stick with square and rectangular cards but I have to say I really enjoyed making this little card. I'm now feeling inspired to create more shaped cards.

This little cutie is from The Ton's sweet set 'Hey, Foxy'. I started by inking up a die cut circle with Distress inks to create the nigh time background. Then I stamped the trees (Hero Arts: Winter Trees) in Sepia Versa Fine. The fox is popped up, as is the circle. Finally, although you can hardly tell it, I added Wink of Stella and Stickles to give a frosty finish.

So why not come and join us at House of Cards? We'd love to see how you shape up this month!

You lift me up!

Over at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers the new challenge is 'T' is for Technique.

The Sisterhood have temporarily put their snark aside and have a variety of gorgeous creations on offer to showcase new, or recently perfected, card making techniques.

My technique is colouring with pencil crayons, although I have to be honest and say it's only the dog I've coloured with pencils as I'm short on green crayons.

I could also put 'CASE-ing' for my technique as I saw this gorgeous card by Tanja and knew I had to pair a sweet Katzelkraft stamp with this WPlus9 balloon just as she had. Thanks for the inspiration, Tanja, I hope you don't mind my 'homage' to your card!

I made this card for my husband as he 'lifts me up' on a daily basis as I continue to battle with face pain.

Have a happy day!

Happy Birthday, Sally!

One of the best things, for me, about blogging is that you make new friends. Yes, they may be 'virtual' friends but friends they are!

A long time blogging friend is the lovely Sally of Cinnamon Sally Designs.

I just love Sally's signature card making style and her eye for a gorgeous colour combo. She is one talented lady and if you've not been fortunate enough to visit her blog thus far I'd urge you to drop by and take a look!

Despite messing around with this card in PicMonkey I just can't get the colours to look like they do in real life.

I've used pretty much the same ingredients as I did for this card but decided to use my rectangular dies instead. I think the design works better as a rectangle.

So have a great birthday, Sally!
