Naughty or Nice Challenge #36 - Love is in the Air

We have a great theme and a beautiful colour palette on offer at Naughty or Nice this month.

And here's my loved-up little offering!

I couldn't resist pairing this Katzelkraft cutie with a comical sentiment to make this Valentine's card!

I wasn't sure what kind of bird he was until I realized that he could be a Cardinal. We don't have Cardinals in the UK so I needed a little help from Google to tell me that I was correct! I have to say that he looks very handsome in his bright red suit and black bib!

You can slide by over at Naughty and Nice to see what my fellow Troublemakers have on offer this month!

Creative with Stamps Challenge #11 - Valentines

We're getting all romantic over at Creative with Stamps this month! As always, there are some gorgeous DT cards on offer to both delight and inspire you.

This was on the shortlist for Hubby's Valentine's day card until I realised he was standing behind me when I was colouring it! His comment was 'Wow! That is very, very pink!" which could have been his way of saying please don't give it to me!

The Sentiment and image are by Art Impressions and the 'HUGS' is from a new set I've just bought from Simon Says Stamp. In this picture you can actually see the Wink of Stella highlights!

I'm also linking to Spring Fling over at the AI blog! It feels like ages since I played along over there so it's great to be joining in the fun again after all this time!

Celebrating Friendship

I made this birthday card for a friend and thought I'd share it ahead of her birthday on Friday. No challenge, no theme, no bloghop... Just feeling blessed, and celebrating friendship.

Naughty or Nice Challenge #35 - Reminder

It's mid-month reminder time over at Naughty or Nice Challenges, which means that you still have until Wednesday 25th January to play with our Ready, Steady, Go! Challenge.

This time, I'm sharing a New Year card, which was soooo much fun to create. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy paper-piecing and really enjoyed layering-up this fun gal from Art Impressions.

The 'sentiment' is computer generated in my new favourite typeface: Moose.

Head on over to see what the Troublemakers have created  for this reminder post and then why not join us and play along in this, our first challenge of 2017.

Creative with stamps Challenge #10 - Reminder

I'm back with a mid-month reminder for our current challenge over at Creative with Stamps.

Being a nicely brought-up kinda girl, I always like to send 'thank you' cards for the gifts and goodies I receive over the festive season. Here's one I made using some Lia Griffiths sets from Hero Arts in combination with a Papertrey Ink sentiment.

My CWS buddies have done a great job with their cards, so head on over and take your fill of their fabulous inspiration pieces...

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stamps Challenge # 75 - S is for Stencils

Well, 2017 is properly underway and I don't seem to have spent too much money on crafty goodies so far; then again, it is still only January 7th!

As always, Edna is lookin' good! This time she's challenging us crafters to break-out those stencils.

My stencil work is very subtle on this card but creates a perfect backdrop for one of my favourite AI characters! I did toy with using embossing paste but in the end I masked the image and then used Distress Ink through the stencil.

Wanna see what the Sistahs created??? Course you do...
