The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #247 - W is for Winter

Love it or hate it, those of us who live in the Northern Hemisphere are currently in the grip of Winter. The Sisterhood are celebrating this with a new challenge: W is for Winter, and we'd love you to come play along!

I had a little fun with a speech bubble die, my PC, a VLVS kitty stamp and a stencil.

The sisters have created some fabulous cards, so please come on over and join us - you now have a whole month to play with our current theme!

Jingle Belles + Woodblock Wednesday = FUN!

Hi there, Happy Friday to you all!

I'm very much enjoying playing a few different challenges at the moment as I seem to have a little more time on my hands than usual. How that has happened I do not know, but I'm just going with it until I discover what I've been forgetting to do!

I'm happy to be playing for the first time at Amy's fun challenge Woodblock Wednesday. I can see that this challenge is growing in popularity - what a great way to make us break out our wood block stamps again.

To be honest, this cute Stampendous stamp has only just arrived in my possession after I spotted it on ebay last week whilst looking for something else entirely.

It's an oldie from 2007 called Santa Trio, and I couldn't believe it was unused and offered at a VERY reasonable price. Click, click, click... Add to Cart!

I can see so many different ways to use these images.

I'm delighted to be joining the fun again over at Jingle Belles, where the gals are looking for cards as red as Rudolph's red nose. Thanks for another FUN theme, guys. It was a lovely surprise this morning to discover my last card for the Belles had caught the eyes of Lauren and Steph, along with my crafting buddies Gail and Fabiola's cards too.

So, whatever your plans are for this coming weekend I hope they involve some crafting and fun! Take care. x

January 2024 - Card Chain Challenge Reveal

It's the 2nd day of the month and Reveal time over at The Card Chain Challenge

Anyhoo, back to the cards. We had 32 participants who exchanged cards across the globe this month at CCC. The gallery is looking stunning - so please grab a cuppa and go take a look.

All the cards exchanged this month used at least one of the following options:

Colour Palette Option

(Exact matching is not required.)

Sketch Option

(Orient as desired.)

Theme Options: Mythical Creatures / Birds / Friendship

Product / Technique Options: Paint or Ink / Splatters

I tried really hard to play the sketch option this month and, as you can see, I very nearly achieved my goal! I do love playing with this sweet set: My Favorite Things Winter Songbird and Winter Wreath.

My little birds migrated across Europe to Imke in Germany and My sender was the very talented Linda W in Minnesota. Just look what she sent me...

Thank you, Linda, this is completely, totally gorgeous!

There's still plenty of time to sign-up for our February Challenge, so why not make THIS they month that YOU come and play along at The Card Chain Challenge!

Playing along...

Hi, folks! It's a chilly and frosty start to the day here in the UK, so what better than a little time in a cosy craft room!

I wanted to play along with the current challenge over at Inkspirational as I love an excuse to do a little paper piecing.

I had a really good idea of how I wanted this card to look, but it hasn't quite worked out as I'd expected. Perhaps I shouldn't have used Distress Oxide to ink the base card? Perhaps I'm actually just fussing over nothing?

The cute cup image is from the lovely Jane's Doodles set I have open on my desk at the moment. I love the size of her new sets and they are so much fun to colour.

I'm also linking this card over at ABC Christmas Challenge where 'A is for Anything Christmas'.

Have a crafty day!

Something Old, Something New...

Lauren and Stef have a new challenge...

and are playing 'Something Old, Something New'. They'd like to see you create a Christmas card using something brand new and something older.

I'm currently loving my NEW Jane's Doodles sets from Creative Expressions. These stamps are a great size and stamp so beautifully. I inked up this cute little mug image from the set Holiday Cheers and let it take centre stage. My OLD for this challenge is a stamp from a much loved set Puffy Holiday Greetings by Mama Elephant. That quick and easy smooshy background was created with Distress Inks.

I'm doubling-up on the challenges with this card as I'm also joining the fun at Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #25.

Have a fun Wednesday, Folks!

Penny Black Fun!

Hi there, today I'm playing along at The Penny Black Saturday Challenge! They have an Anything Goes/Something New Challenge on offer and my card features a new-to-me image from the set Happy Critters which I bought here a few weeks ago.

Aren't the cats adorable? The background is embossed in white with a balloon stamp from Unity. I decided not to add a sentiment and placed the column of kitties centre-stage.

There are some fun cards in the gallery , so why not head over and take a look
