The Card Chain Challenge Reveal - June 2025

It's Reveal Time once again over at The Card Chain Challenge.

 

As always, we're all about spreading love around the world, 

one handmade card at a time!! 

We had 20 participants who exchanged cards across the globe this month.

All the cards exchanged this month used at least one of the following options:

 

Colour Palette Option

(Exact matching is not required.)

Sketch Option

(Orient as desired.)

Theme Options: Gingham / Something beginning with 'Tu' / Friendship

Product / Technique Options:  Wood  / Rip It Up

I received this master class in how to use the sketch option from Carol in the UK. It's the texture plus Carol's attention to detail that makes this card so special. 

If you're new to the Card Chain Challenge this is an event where everybody wins. You make a card for the person above you on the chain and you receive a card from the person below you on the chain. It's a personalised swap, sort of, and it's heaps of fun and rather addictive! 

Should you wish to join in the fun you can sign up for the next Card Chain Challenge.  All sign ups run in advance, from the 7th of the preceding month to the 6th of the exchange month.  All reveals happen on the 2nd of the month after the exchange is complete.

We'd like to see your spots, dots and circles this month, please. 

Dots, spots and circles a'plenty, and such fun to make. I think I saw the original for this card on Pinterest and just loved the idea of the little snowman looking up as the snow falls around him. I'll see if I can find the original card and share the link. The papers are from a gorgeous pack from Kaisercraft called Christmas Carnival Collection. This is such an old collection and no longer for sale. The Sentiment is from WPlus9 Be Merry, and is another oldie. Thankfully, there's better news for Stampendous Snowman Hugs Sentiment and Faces as it's still available. A big thankyou to Gail for gifting me this cute set!

It's Christmas in July over at Lost Coast Design, so I'm going to send my little snowman over to join the party. 

Our lovely Rudolph has pulled-out an extra special prize for this month's Random Raffle Draw and decided that there will be TWO lucky RANDOM WINNERS in honour of our 100th Challenge.

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #263 - P is for Pride

For our June Challenge we are celebrating Pride Month over at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, and we'd like to see RAINBOW colours on your projects!

Here's what I created:

I love this kitty from Catitude by Yuzu for MFT. I've lost the packaging for the rainbow die - it wasn't easy to use, so I may look for another one as the cut-out was so fiddly. 

I'm delighted to be linking to lovely Fiki's Show Us Your Pussycats Challenge #112. Such a fun challenge! The kitty in my card today is based on my friend's cat Rupert - he's a proper character and would definitely strut his stuff just like this!

Finally, here's another picture of Bruce from the Rescue. Isn't he gorgeous? I'm sure his forever home can't be far away with a face like that.

Challenge #99 - Christmas Critters

Here's what Dani made to get the party started...

You can find all the details about Dani's cute card over on her Instagram Account. I love the little mouse in a tangle of fairy lights. I'm sure this would be me if I didn't always leave the tree trimming to my husband!

I broke out some LOTV loveliness for my first card. 

For my second card I decided to create a festive trio of dancing cats from a favourite Jane's Doodles set. 

I volunteer at a Cat Rescue and often colour the cat images to look like our residents. Big boy Bruce has the starring role on this card, although in real life he's a shy guy who likes his basket.

Rudolph has a a sweet prize for his Random Raffle prize this month and he's offering some adorable critters to one lucky random winner.

Dani and I can't wait to see what you create for our new theme and very much hope you'll come and join the fun!

The Card Chain Challenge Reveal - May 2025

After a quiet start to the Sign-Up we had 21 participants who exchanged cards across the globe this month, and we even welcomed a new player!

 

All the cards exchanged this month used at least one of the following options:

 

Colour Palette Option

(Orient as desired.)

Theme Options: Chickens / Smiles and Laughter / Friendship

Product / Technique Options: Ribbon or Lace / Lacé

Here's how I played the options: I went with the theme option of Chickens, sprinkled in a little whimsy and then sort of picked-up the colour palette for the hens. 

The set is called Picket Fence Studios - One Hot Chick, but seems to be discontinued and out of stock wherever I look. Such a pity as these chicks are adorbs. I sent this card clucking all the way to Mia in Greece.

 

My sender this month was Imke in Germany and she sent me this little piece of wonderful...
