Everything seems to go pretty well with your colour-work so you die-cut and layer and then you decide to add some Wink of Stella from your newly purchased pen. You shake and squeeze: nothing happens. You try again but the fluid won't flow into the barrel. You undo the pen and suddenly you are engulfed in what will go down in the annals of history as 'The Great Wink of Stella Disaster of 2015'. You print out a second image...
Yes, it's fellow blogger Shirley B's birthday today. As I am sure many of you are aware, Shirley is one very talented lady and not only does she make cards she also designs her own stamps!
Earlier this year Shirley shared a gorgeous card for a 50th birthday which I admired in the comment I left for her. Before I knew it I had a stunning card made just for me to celebrate my half-century!
So, (eventually) here's the card I sent to Shirley to celebrate her birthday. Don't you just love this sweet girl with her birthday tiara?
Happy birthday, Shirley, I hope you have a wonderful day!

Oh how I can relate to your post!
a) Being on several DTs with amazingly talented (perfect!) crafters I do worry that my offerings may be found wanting.
b) Blummin Wink of Stella . Don't trust it. It sneaks up on you and ruins your projects at the last minute. And when it does work, it fails to show up in photos.
One thing I'll disagree on though is that you say 'she is talented and you are not'. You really are talented. Your card is beautiful and coloured with astounding skill.
You are extremely talented and this card demonstrates it with the amazing colouring.....I'm sure the lady in question loved it, well I know I would x
Fabulous card, love it.
luv

Jo, this is wonderful, thank you so much! I bow to your superior colouring, and you undersell yourself, you're a very talented card maker, as we all know! And Wink of Stella pens should be sold with a government warning! Thanks again for the gorgeous card and birthday wishes :)

One thing I'll disagree on though is that you say 'she is talented and you are not'. You really are talented.

Gorgeous card! I giggled about your disaster... laughing with you, not at you because I have had these little senerios play out time and time again! Glad you stuck with it because the result is fabulous.
I had that very same disaster with Wink of Stella! Not fun! You recovered beautifully:)
Beautiful colouring, Jo (and frankly, I can't see anything wrong with the first one!!).
I've just emailed you my details for CCC using the email address in your sidebar - can you let me know if you got it ok?
