I'm delighted to welcome my dear buddy, Gail AKA Crafty Nomad, as our Christmas Kickstart elf for February.
Our challenge theme is:
Challenge #83 - Out on a Limb
A BIG thank you to Gail for the witty title! We'd like to see things you'd find on a tree at Christmas time. Your tree can be indoors or outside. It can be bedecked with baubles, berries or snowflakes, or maybe home to birds or creatures seeking shelter from the elements. The choice is yours - just let your imagination take you where it leads!
I adore these little Owls from Olga Heldwein for AALL and Create. Aren't they just so loved up! I cut a panel from a gel print, inked it up and then embossed it to look like bark.
The foliage is from a Sizzix set, but I've not got the packaging so don't know the details.
My second card again started with a gel print, and then some dies from a sadly now discontinued set called Sizzix Thinlets - Festive Things. A big thank you to Greta for the beautiful embossed background. The sentiment is from Mama Elephant.
Rudolph has something a little different for us this month as his Random Raffle prize:
Gail and I can't wait to see what you create for this challenge!

Absolutely love your cards, Jo! The owls are so wonderful and I just keep looking at all your details! I hadn't thought to use that embossing folder for a background like you did. Great idea I'll have to case!
