Christmas Kickstart Challenge #74 - Reminder post

My elfin buddy, Gundi and I are playing with a gorgeous colour palette over at Christmas Kickstart this month!

Gundi created the most beautiful inspiration card, which you can see here. As always, I picked a few elements to use in my card for the Reminder post. I love doing this as it really stretches me to try techniques or styles I wouldn't otherwise have considered. This is what I made using a very old Hero Arts block stamp and some gorgeous little images from Jane's Doodles. I'm so glad I bagged some of Jane's wonderful stamps before she closed her shop - thankfully, a few online stores still carry here products.

Gundi I and I both hope you'll come and play along with this challenge, and as always Rudolph has a brilliant Randon Raffle Prize on offer!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - Y is for Yo Mama!

We're playing Y is for Yo Mama for the next two weeks over at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, and just look at the graphic that Sistah Lee has created to get us in the mood!

I broke out some VLVS stamps for this one, grabbed a couple of my Gelli Prints and here's the result...

and also this...

And using a left-over embossed panel...

I had quite a bit of fun with this challenge, and so did Queen Mia and my teamies. The gals all hope that you'll come and join the fun

I sent this little card across the miles to Joanne in CT, USA.

I decided to play with the themes of Spring and Friendship, plus that lovely colour combo. I decided my Katzelkraft bunny needed a Hero Arts bee to bee-friend. LOL!

My sender for this month was the lovely Linda in Minnesota, USAand this is what I received from her. Thanks, Linda, I love it!

We had 28 participants who exchanged cards across the globe this month.

Total number of cards exchanged thus far by Card Chain Challenge participants is 3,973, and I have a feeling we're going to smash through the 4,000 barrier with our May Challenge! Wooooo Hooooo! Want to join the fun? Could your card be card #400? Please head on over to The Card Chain Challenge and play along.

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #74 - Colour Palette Fun!

The start of a new month once again signals the start of a new Challenge over at Christmas Kickstart and I'm delighted to welcome my sweet pal Gundi from Papierelle as our elf for this month.

Gundi has chosen a gorgeous colour palette for our challenge...

Challenge #74 - Colour Palette Fun!

And I know you will LOVE the card she's made to inspire us this month, so please head on over and take a look!

Here's what I made for the challenge... I have no idea why the colour palette suggested sheep - I think I was just in the mood for a little whimsy!

The sheep come from a set called Baaah Humbug from Lawn Fawn. I thought a trio of colourful sheep would be a fun way to include as much of the colour palette as possible. I do hope you agree.

My second card is this one:

In used a very old set by MFT called Winter Warmth. This card is so pretty and twinkly IRL.

Here's Rudolph with his Random Raffle Prize for May:

This is a great little Die and Stamp set, and a lovely potential prize for anyone who enters the challenge, follows the guidelines and get's drawn from Rudolph's special Random Raffle hat!

Gundi and I look forward to seeing what you create!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #223 - F is for Flowers

Just look at Edna's delightful garden - so floriferous and lovely.

For the next two weeks The Sisterhood are playing F is for Flowers and having heaps of snarky fun.

Here's my card for the challenge. I used this gorgeous bunny from Waffle Flower called Rejoice Rabbit and paired it with a sentiment from MFT.

I love this sassy bunny, and hope the recipient does too.

You can see all of the sistahs floral creations by clicking here and visiting the blog.

Snippets Challenge #452

The sun is shining and I'm happy to be playing in the playground again over at Snippets for Challenge #452!

Isn't this gorgeous digi from Mo's Digital Pencil just a fabulous way to use up a snippet of pretty patterned paper?

I don't know which paper pad the snippet is from as it was just sitting in the bottom of my paper stash, but I knew it would look so good paper pieced into this image.  OK, so paper piecing isn't as in vogue as it used to be, but I do enjoy making the odd card with this technique as it reminds me of those paper dolls we all played with back in the day.

Hope you're having a good day in your part of the world.
