The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #226 - G is for Glitter

Hands up, who loves GLITTER? Yes, no, maybe? Well love it or loath it, we're all about the sparkle at The Sisterhood for the next two weeks

Until I finished work a couple of years ago I was a librarian in a primary school. The staff had a major glitter addiction and the corridors, classrooms and staffroom pretty much crunched glitter underfoot as you made your way around the place. I often found it in my car, on my clothes and hair and even occasionally in my underwear.

I decided to ignore free range glitter for my creation and went for glitter where it's at least tethered to some cardstock.

I smooched some water colour card with Distress Inks and tucked it behind a lovely background plate from Jane's Doodles. The HUGS die is from MFT.

I also made this little piece of tomfoolery, and yes, the spider does move up and down the pole.

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #70 - Reminder

Over at Christmas Kickstart we're in the company of the lovely Beverly from Bev's Creative Path and we're playing with Stencils and Masks.

To inspire us for this challenge Bev created an adorable snowman card and matching envelope. I love how she staged the photograph too!

I really struggled not to simply just CASE Bev's card as I love the design, colours and everything about it, but I came up with this as my 'inspired by...' creation.

I borrowed Bev's big snowflake stencilling, snowman and spotty scarf. There's a mish-mash of different card company's stamps on this one, but they seem to hang together quite well. The snowmen are from Merry Gnomes by Jane's Doodles, the cute fir trees come from Mama Elephant Scene Builder and the sentiment is Puffy Holiday Greetings, also from Mama Elephant. The snowflake background is an older stencil and I've lost the packaging.

I also made this little square card for the challenge. The stencil is from Funky Fossil and the lovely Dala Horse die is from Creative-Depot.

Rudolph starts the year with a sweet little prize from LOTV as his Random Raffle offering. Don't forget to read the Challenge Guidelines before entering as Ruddy can get quite grumpy when participants enter too many challenges and can't be awarded their prize!

Beverly and I can't wait to see your Stencilled and/or masked creations, so please head on over to Christmas Kickstart Challenge #70 and join the fun.

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #225 - R is for Reindeer

Look it's our mascot Edna having a fabulous time in her reindeer powered sleigh!

I don't always envy Edna's exploits for The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers but this is one mission I'd gladly undertake.

We're all about REINDEER for the first challenge of 2023.

I broke out one of my fav stampsKatzelkraft Christmas Gangham Style and had fun colouring Santa and his dancing reindeer dudes.

The Sisterhood had a blast with this theme and so might you, so please come play along!

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #70 - Stencils and Masks

Happy New Year and welcome to Challenge #70 or as we'll call it today - the first Christmas Kickstart Challenge of 2023.

I'm delighted to welcome the lovely Beverly from Bev's Creative Path as our first elf for 2023.

Our theme for Challenge #70 is Masks and Stencils

Beverly has made the sweetest card for this challenge, so please head on over and take a look.

Here's what I made... For some reason I decided to go complicated and made a brick wall with my stencil from Dutch Doobadoo (A5 Bricks). The wreath is made up of a pretty Eucalyptus Wreath from Craft and You and foliage from Sizzix/Tim Holtz Holiday Greens Mini. I used some of my old Gelli Press prints for the foliage.

It wouldn't be Kickstart without the amazing Rudolph and he's in fine form with his first Random Raffle of 2023.

Please come on over and play along with Beverly and me.

Card Chain Challenge - December 2022 Tic-Tac-Tic-Tac-Toe

Hi there, and a Happy New Year!

It's December 2022 Reveal time and we played the extra big Tic-Tac-Toe again!

We had 26 participants who exchanged cards across the globe this month.

I played with the third line down and sent this to Gundi in Germany. I used a gorgeous Stamplorations die cut for the front.

Not the world's greatest pop-up, but I tried!

Inside pop-up

And look what I received from Patricia in Texas. It rocks... and is a stunner.

The Card Chain Challenge is such a warm and friendly challenge and a real win/win as you make, send and receive a beautiful handmade card. Why not make 2023 the year you play along!
