A little mixed media fun!

Just dropping-by to share a quirky little canvas created using this fruity cutie from Vera Lane Studios.

Janet has got some gorgeous designs in her Etsy shop, and there are some irresistible new cats-in-hats that are calling my name...

Have a great weekend!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #89 - Up Your Kilt!

Well, well, well, doesn't our Edna just get all the best gigs!

Challenge #89 is a really beauty and the Sistahs have done themselves proud with some truly cheeky and hilarious cards, as we celebrate all things plaid and tartan!

My offering is very, very tame... But kinda cute!
I love the little Nessie from this Lawn Fawn set and couldn't resist pairing him/her with this sentiment from a Jane's Doodles set.

I loved creating this little scene, using some Pinterest inspiration to achieve the under water effect.

Anyhoooooo, don' waste your time here: head over to SoSS Central and have a giggle at the naughty antics of my teames!

Naughty or Nice Challenges - Challenge #41 Reminder

Ok, so I'm a little late with my mid-month reminder post for the current challenge at Naughty or Nice... Please forgive me, I was rather unwell yesterday and then my glitter glue wouldn't dry!

Once again, I decided to use those gorgeous shoes from Deasey Designs. I'm a bit of a Dorothy nut and love all things Wizard of Oz, so I couldn't resist the opportunity to create some ruby slippers! I printed out the shoes and sentiment (having first flipped one image) and then did some masking so I could stencil a yellow brick road. I coloured the shoes with Promarkers to give a good base and finally slathered on the gorgeous icky, sticky Distress Stickles.

This card is for one of my friends at work. She's a brilliant teacher and has just got a richly deserved promotion, so this little card will be waiting on her desk on Monday morning!

The Troublemakers have created some gorgeous cards for this challenge, so why not hop on over to the blog and join in the fun!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #88 - K is for Kids

How lovely to see Edna's maternal side for this challenge... And doesn't she look a picture of motherly pride surrounded by her little brood? No? Well, perhaps you're right!

It's all about kids for Challenge #88 and my fabulous sistahs have truly excelled themselves for this one.

I feel that my cards have been a little lacking in snark recently, so hopefully I'm back on track with this gorgeous image from Mo's Digital Pencil and a fun 'sentiment'.

I always enjoy colouring this image and I love that slightly winsome expression on her face, which seems to fit the wording perfectly!

Wanna see some fabulous inspiration from the Sistahs??? Course you do, who doesn't want snark and creativity in equal measure! Enjoy!

June Card Chain Challenge Reveal

There's yet another beautiful Card Chain Challenge Reveal awaiting you this month over on the CCC blog.

Deborah's colour combos are always a delight, but the June palette had me swooning!

We also had this sketch...

and some great themes.

I was so drawn to the colours that I immediately knew I wanted to get inky! I never tire of blending Distress Inks and this is the end result of an afternoon of fun, which I sent to Asha in Portugal:

Christi C in Colorado sent me this beauty, having also been inspired by the colour combo.

If you've never signed-up for the Card Chain Challenge I'd urge you to give it a go! Card makers from across the world exchange cards and good wishes, and I always get a kick out of knowing the recipient will understand just what it means to make and send a homemade greetings card.

Naughty or Nice Challenge #41 - If the Shoe Fits...

So, June has passed with breathtaking speed and now July is here. I'm not going to worry about this however, as this means it's time for a new challenge over at Naughty or Nice, and one I've been looking forward to for ages!
Like most girls, I have a weakness for shoes (in addition to stamps and design paper of course!) and so I loved searching for suitable images for this challenge.

Isn't this image a beaut? I'm afraid I've not really done it justice, but I did enjoy paper-piecing that gorgeous shoe. I found this, and a selection of other lovely digis, at Deasy Designs on Etsy. If the name sounds familiar it's because this talented lady is responsible: Melania Deasey; tal-ent-ed or what!

Talking of tal-ent-ed, why not head over and catch-up with The Troublemakers. We've loved this one, and can't wait to see your gorgeous creations for our shoe-per fun July challenge!
