Happy 1st birthday

I cannot believe that my little niece will be celebrating her 1st birthday on Thursday. Time, as they say, really does fly!
I have been looking forward to using this cute little Gorjuss girl image and was delighted by how quick and easy she was to colour.
The background was created with Spun Sugar Distress Ink and a mixture of Hero Arts and The English Stamp Company images. There is a generous amount of Tattered Angels Pearl Glimmer mist carefully spritzed on for a subtle shimmer. I used Diamond stckles on her wings.
I punched out the butterflies and tiny flowers from white paper coloured with my Cool Aqua Promarker and distressed with Tumbled Glass. The 'sentiment' was printed on my PC after I had finished the background. The sentiment always needs to be printed last as Distress ink can make it blur and bleed.
Hopefully we'll get to see our sweet little niece this weekend. My sister-in-law tells me that she is into everything and full of fun and smiles... can't wait to see her!
Happy crafting everyone!

How you have done the pro marker flower colouring is fab, works perfectly with the dress. What a cute image, one of my favorites.
How do you print from the pc onto your card?
It looks great.

ok, this is INDEED gorgeous, and i love all the brilliant little touches you have used to make it extra special... (diamond stickles! perfectly coloring! punched accents!) ...but my very VERY favorite bit is that divinely stamped & misted background...and then you've given me a "LIGHTBULB MOMENT" with the thought that after creating that loveliness you RAN THE PAGE THRU YOUR PRINTER to add the sentiment!!! WOW!!! i would never, EVER have thought of that...and now i am sure i will use that idea **CONSTANTLY**!!! THANK YOU!!!

(ps: & happy birthday to young miss sian...i hope she will enjoy the first of many very wonderful celebrations with her auntie! ♥♥♥)

I LOVE that you've been adding these custom sentiments! What a WONDERFUL thing! As much as I ADORE STAMPS... there's just no way to have the right sentiment for EVERYTHING! Brilliant. I am recently motivated to collect upbeat and funny sentiments, and this reaffirms the need, and a way to do that. I love this card, and surely you must be a most fantastic auntie! {Lucky lil' thing!} Hope it was a wonderful celebration!
